As a curvy woman, you may think that floral prints are off-limits. But you are so wrong! Being a curvy woman myself, I know how difficult it can be to style prints that will compliment your style and body frame. Styling a pair of floral print pants doesn’t have to be complicated; you must find a balance. From one curvy woman to another, I want to share how to style floral printed pants.
Heels vs. Mules With Floral Printed pants
Whether you love heels or flats, the choice is yours. Wearing heels can add a little bit of height if you’re not very tall. But if you are the type that cares more about comfort, mules are a great way to feel comfortable without compromising your look. Because I love a good pair of mules, I chose to wear these cute pink mules from Target. These are no longer available, but I’ve linked a few options below. Heels are great to wear with floral prints, especially if you are headed to an event or date night. Keep your heels simple to avoid clashing with your prints.
Play Down Your Top With Your Floral Pants
When styling your floral printed pants as a curvy woman, you must ensure your style is not all over the place. Because your floral pants are the focus, keeping your upper half simple is the key to achieving the perfect style. You could choose any color, but my go-to would be solid white or soft pink. You have options! Keeping it simple allows your floral print to be the focus. Wearing floral prints of any kind can already feel a little uncomfortable at first, but once you know what to wear along with your printed pants more comfortable you will become. Since my pants were the show, I chose a white padded top that gave me a little edge but allowed the entire outfit to flow.
No matter your size, you can tuck your top only if you’re comfortable doing so. If you’re not down with the tuck, try choosing a top that will hit where your waistline starts to create an effortless and seamless style. Here is a style that I created on Instagram that I think you would like.
Accessories With your Floral Pants
I love wearing accessories! It’s all about the details of your accessories; you can either go all out or keep it simple. When it comes to jewelry, I went with gold pieces. But don’t forget that handbags, totes, fedoras, and clutches are accessories too! As you can see here, I chose gold pieces to add to my style. Add a fedora, a nice bracelet, and a cute crossbody, and you’re good to go.
