Sharing is caring!

Cleveland, MS, is a two-hour ride down Highway 61 just south of Memphis, TN. Cleveland is always special in my heart because it’s home to me. This small town is packed with southern hospitality. So, where can you stay in the small town of Cleveland? Let’s take a tour around one of the most spectacular hotels in Cleveland, the Cotton House hotel.

LOCATION

Booking with the Cotton House is quickly done online through the Tribute Portfolio website. The Cotton House is located in the downtown area of Cleveland and sits across from a walking trail and a row of shopping stores. You can walk out of the hotel and enjoy a nice walk while soaking up the sun. Once you arrive at the Cotton House, you will find modern decor surrounding you. The lobby has plenty of seating, front desk staff members, a southern charm, and a sophisticated aroma. I immediately thought about all the upgrades I should have in my own home while walking through this hotel. There’s a distinctive vibe of southern charm mixed with luxury at the Cotton House.

THE ROOMS AT THE COTTON HOUSE

They’re 95 rooms at the Cotton House in Cleveland, with pillowtop mattresses, LCD televisions, and private bathrooms with rainfall showerheads. Talk about luxury! Once I arrived at my room, a king-size bed, a coffee and tea station, and southern blues singers’ wall art awaited me. I was highly impressed with the beautiful chandelier hanging from the ceiling. The bathroom has all your necessities if you’ve forgotten something while traveling. No matter which side of the hotel your room faces, you can still enjoy the bright sun shining through the windows.

The Cotton House in Cleveland has made the term Netflix and chill a reality. You are only a username and password away from enjoying a movie from the comfort of your room. The Cotton House offers three different options to choose from when booking your room. The standard guest room with a king bed/queen bed or a king suite with a sofa bed. I had the opportunity of staying in a king-standard room, and this room choice was spacious enough for me to enjoy quality time alone. If you’re traveling with friends and family, I recommend choosing the suite for your stay. There’s more than enough room! When traveling, I always look for luxury-style hotels that won’t break the bank, and the Cotton House provides that. What is most comfortable about this hotel is that each room offers complimentary hotel robes to enjoy.

DINING AT THE COTTON HOUSE

The Cotton House in Cleveland offers its guests two options for on-site dining. The Delta Meat Market and Bar Fontaine. The Delta Meat Market provides meals for lunch and dinner, with a brunch option on Saturdays. Due to my arrival, I could not indulge in lunch and dinner dining. But I had the best brunch experience the following day. After reviewing the menu several times, I chose the french toast I submerged in syrup, bacon, and a side of scrambled eggs. To top off my brunch experience, I also enjoyed a cold mimosa.

Another option for dining is Bar Fontaine. Bar Fontaine is located on the 5th floor of the Cotton House and provides guests with a bar, an outside deck, and indoor seating. If you love indulging in a cocktail or two, you will enjoy Bar Fontaine. Along with a full bar, you can enjoy a bite to eat if you desire. Although the menu is somewhat limited, the food will fulfill your appetite. I opted for the wedge salad and a gin and cranberry cocktail. Although the weather was rather chilly during my stay, I still enjoyed sitting outside on the deck by the firepit.
