Why stay at the Westin Memphis Hotel? Memphis has so much culture and decor that it would be hard for anyone not to want to visit. When visiting Memphis, finding a hotel that will accommodate your needs near a few attractions is at the top list for most Memphis travelers. Who wouldn’t want a front-row seat to some of the best foods and a touch of southern hospitality; well, the Westin Memphis Hotel will provide you with all of that.

The Westin sits conveniently across from the FedEx Forum, which hosts concerts and live performances and is home to the professional basketball team, the Memphis Grizzles. Recently, I had the pleasure of staying at the Westin, and this hotel checked all of my boxes. Imagine being in the hottest location on Beale Street.

Can you picture yourself coming in after a long day of traveling many hours and finding the need to unwind? Or finding yourself needing a staycation if you’re a local Memphian. At The Westin Memphis Hotel, you can relax in a king or queen-size bed with soft sheets and no interruptions. The rooms are spacious and offer a home away from home with comfortable bedding and art designs of Memphis. The Westin is located near the famous Beale Street and is a 17-minute drive from the Memphis airport. A few of Memphis’ best attractions are steps away from the Westin.

Check-in At The Westin Memphis Hotel

The check-in process at The Westin takes place at the front desk, but you are more than welcome to utilize the advanced mobile check-in through the Marriott’s app. You can obtain a digital key through the app that will take you directly to your room when your room is available. In other words, you can skip the line. But if you prefer that one-on-one interaction, the staff members at The Westin are more than happy to accommodate you. Once I arrived at my room, I was amazed at what greeted me when I walked inside.

The Lobby of The Westin Memphis Hotel

The Westin Memphis Hotel offers guests a lobby full of luxury seating for leisure conversation and organic chemistry. The bartender will keep you entertained while serving you the best cocktails you’ve tasted. Because everyone loves a nice cocktail, right? Occasionally guests can enjoy Friday night live jazz entertainment in the lobby area; trust me, there is more than enough space for you and your friends to still enjoy a night of music while social distancing.

Onsite Restaurant at The Westin

The Westin offers convienant dining at the onsite restaurant Bleu Restaurant and Lounge, which serves guests brunch, lunch, and dinner. You never have to leave The Westin Memphis Hotel! Most onsite restaurants I’ve experienced were blah when it came to the food or had lousy customer service. The Bleu Restaurant and Lounge staff were impeccable in catering to my needs. I enjoyed a delicious chicken and waffle brunch along with a cold mimosa. I could not sample the lunch and dinner offered, but I did receive a few recommendations from the staff.

Getting around the downtown area of Memphis is easier than ever. Everything is within walking distance or if you want a little fun, use the bird scooter to get around. You don’t need to rent a car unless you want to tour the wonderful city of Memphis outside of the downtown area. If you enjoy museums, why not book a tour at the National Civil Rights Museum, where you can find exhibits about African American leaders such as the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and other influential leaders? Suppose you’re in the mood for live music, head over to BB Kings Blues Club, or take a few salsa lessons at The Rumba Room, which are both near the Westin Memphis hotel.
